Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Wednesday paid obeisance at the historic Mata Shri Kali Devi Ji Temple in Patiala and reviewed the ongoing reconstruction and development works being carried out at the shrine.
Sond, who holds the portfolios of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Labour, Hospitality, Rural Development and Panchayats, and Power, offered prayers and sought blessings for peace, prosperity and the welfare of the people of Punjab.
During his visit, the Cabinet Minister took detailed information about the ongoing works at the temple and said that facilities for devotees are being upgraded keeping in view the large number of visitors who come to pay obeisance at the shrine.
Interacting with the media, Sond said the Punjab Government respects religious places and remains committed to promoting mutual harmony, brotherhood and development across the state.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the state government is working towards the overall development of Punjab while respecting the sentiments of people from all sections of society.
The minister prayed that Punjab continues to witness peace, communal harmony, brotherhood and prosperity, and progresses further on the path of development.
