Actress Karishma Tanna and her husband Varun Bangera have become parents as they welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Wednesday.
The couple announced the arrival of their son through a joint Instagram post, revealing that the baby was born on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, July 29.
Sharing a monochrome picture of the newborn’s feet with a tag reading “he’s here”, the couple wrote, “It’s a boy! Karishma & Varun. Our greatest blessing. 29th July 2026.”
The new parents also shared an emotional message, saying, “Born on the sacred day of Guru Purnima… Our greatest blessing is here. 29th July 2026. Welcome to our world, little one. Karishma & Varun.”
Soon after the announcement, wishes poured in from their friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry. Actor Sonu Sood congratulated the couple, while Rakul Preet Singh expressed happiness over the news. Ektaa Kapoor, Bharti Singh, Nimrat Kaur and Smriti Irani were among those who extended their blessings and good wishes.
Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera began their relationship in 2021 and got married in Mumbai in 2022. Their wedding celebrations were attended by family members and close friends from the television and film fraternity.
The couple’s relationship reportedly began after they met at a New Year’s Eve celebration through fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Their friendship later developed into a relationship.
Karishma announced her pregnancy in April this year through a series of pictures on social media, describing the baby as “a little miracle” and “our greatest gift.”
