Swiggy Appoints Nandita Sinha as Instamart CEO After Amitesh Jha’s Resignation

New Delhi, July 28, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Swiggy Limited on Tuesday announced a leadership change at its quick commerce business, Instamart, with Chief Executive Officer Amitesh Kumar Jha resigning to pursue opportunities outside the company. Former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha will take over as the new Chief Executive Officer of Instamart from August 3.

In a regulatory filing, Swiggy said Jha submitted his resignation on July 28 and ceased to be a member of the company’s senior management with immediate effect.

The company thanked Jha for his contribution during a key phase of Instamart’s growth.

“The company places on record its appreciation for the valuable contributions and guidance provided by Amitesh Kumar Jha during his association with the company,” Swiggy said in its filing.

Nandita Sinha joins Instamart after serving as Chief Executive Officer of Myntra. She brings more than two decades of leadership experience across consumer businesses, having held senior roles at Myntra, Flipkart, Britannia Industries and Hindustan Unilever.

Her experience spans e-commerce, fashion retail and the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, making her one of the country’s most experienced consumer internet executives.

Commenting on the appointment, Swiggy Group CEO Sriharsha Majety described Sinha as “one of India’s most accomplished consumer internet leaders” and expressed confidence that her customer-centric approach and operational expertise would drive Instamart’s next phase of growth.

Majety also acknowledged Jha’s leadership, crediting him with steering the quick commerce business through a critical period by launching initiatives such as Noice, strengthening Instamart’s market differentiation and improving contribution margins.

The leadership transition comes amid a series of senior-level changes at Swiggy following its public listing. In recent months, the company has witnessed the departure of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer M. Sridhar, Independent Director Sahil Barua, nominee directors Sumer Juneja, Anand Daniel and Roger Clark Rabalais, co-founder Lakshmi Nandan Reddy Obul, as well as senior Instamart executives Ankit Jain and Hari Kumar.
