Veteran actress Madhoo is set to embrace a new phase in her life as her elder daughter is preparing to get married soon.
Speaking exclusively to IANS, the actress, best known for her role in the film Roja, shared that her elder daughter is currently focused on her upcoming wedding and is not thinking about her career at the moment.
“My older one is going to get married soon. So, right now, I am sure she is not thinking of work. She is in the La La land,” Madhoo said.
Talking about her younger daughter, Madhoo revealed that she initially wanted to follow her mother’s footsteps and pursue acting. However, after exploring the field, she decided to shift her focus towards business.
“She wanted to follow my footsteps. She wanted to be an actor. She explored a little bit, but she decided that this is not for her. So now she is back into the business world. She is interning with her father. She plans to do other things,” the actress said.
Madhoo married Anand Shah on February 19, 1999, and the couple has two daughters, Amaya and Keia.
The actress also shared an interesting personal connection with her film career, revealing that her role in Diljale played a significant role in her marriage. She said her husband first noticed her in the film and was impressed by her performance.
“That’s a role that won me my husband. My husband saw this film in Singapore, I believe, and he felt, ‘Who is this girl? She is amazing’. The next thing I know, I am married to this man,” Madhoo said.
