Actor Karan Wahi, who is currently participating in the 15th season of stunt-based reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi”, has spoken about confronting his fears and how the show pushed him beyond his comfort zone.
Sharing his experience of performing challenging stunts, Karan said that people often underestimate their fears until they are faced with them directly.
“We all think we know our biggest fears until we’re actually standing in front of them. There was one moment this season that genuinely tested me, and I’ll never forget it,” he said.
The actor added that the experience taught him the importance of trusting himself during difficult situations.
“I didn’t know how I’d react, but that’s the beauty of Khatron Ke Khiladi, it teaches you to trust yourself even when fear takes over,” Karan said.
Based on the international reality format “Fear Factor”, the Indian version began as “Fear Factor India” before being renamed “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” in 2008. The show features celebrities competing in extreme stunts designed to challenge their physical and mental strength.
Hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, the latest season has been shot in Cape Town, South Africa, and introduces a format where newcomers compete against experienced contestants.
The current season features celebrities including Rubina Dilaik, Jasmin Bhasin, Karan Wahi, Avinash Mishra, Rithvik Dhanjani, Gaurav Khanna, Avika Gor, Farrhana Bhatt, Harsh Gujral, Vishal Aditya Singh, Orry, Shagun Sharma and Ruhaanika Dhawan.
Karan Wahi became a household name with his role as Ranveer Sisodia in the youth show “Remix” and gained further popularity as Dr Siddhant Modi in “Dill Mill Gayye”. He has also participated in reality shows including “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5” and previous editions of “Khatron Ke Khiladi”.
The actor made his Bollywood debut with a supporting role in “Daawat-e-Ishq” and later appeared in “Hate Story 4”.
