Chandigarh, August 1, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
The Punjab Government on Friday ordered the transfer and posting of four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), with immediate effect.
According to an order issued after the approval of the Police Establishment Committee, the transfers have been made on administrative grounds. The officers have been directed to assume charge at their new places of posting by the afternoon of August 2.
The transferred officers are:
- Kulwant Singh (66/INTT), presently posted as DSP SD Rural, Gurdaspur, has been transferred as DSP SD Mukerian, Hoshiarpur.
- Nachhattar Singh (JRT/391, 312/JR), presently posted as DSP SD Mukerian, Hoshiarpur, has been transferred as ACP, PBI Economic Offences & Cyber Crime, Amritsar.
- Jagbir Singh (1388/PAP, 1594/PAP), presently posted as DSP, 13th Battalion, PAP, Chandigarh, has been transferred as DSP SD Rajasansi, Amritsar Rural.
- Kapil Kaushal (839/BR, Dying Cadre), presently posted as DSP SD Rajasansi, Amritsar Rural, has been transferred as ACP, PBI Homicide & Forensics, Amritsar.
The order further directs that all the officers be relieved immediately and submit their charge-assumption and charge-relinquishment reports to the competent authority without delay.
