An emotionally charged episode of Lock Upp witnessed a dramatic turn after contestant Harshad Chopda made a surprising confession during a crucial task, leaving fellow contestant Shivangi Joshi deeply upset and eventually walking away from the challenge.
The task, which determined the show’s first finalist, took an unexpected twist when Harshad revealed that he had intentionally lost an earlier challenge against Shivangi to ensure her victory. The admission came as a shock to Shivangi, who believed she had secured the win through her own performance.
Feeling that the revelation undermined her efforts and questioned her abilities in the competition, Shivangi became visibly emotional. Unable to continue, she exited the task, resulting in Harshad advancing as the season’s first finalist.
Later, Shivangi was seen breaking down inside her cell. Concerned about her emotional state, Harshad approached fellow contestant Shilpa Shinde and requested that she comfort Shivangi, saying she needed support at that moment.
Shilpa, however, declined the request, reminding Harshad that the reality show was ultimately a game and advising him not to become overly emotional about the situation. Contestant Shreya Kalra, who witnessed the exchange, appeared surprised by the differing reactions.
Harshad later attempted to speak directly with Shivangi, but she refused to engage in conversation and walked away.
Harshad and Shivangi have shared one of the strongest friendships inside the Lock Upp house, consistently supporting one another throughout the season. Their close bond has also fuelled speculation among contestants and viewers about the possibility of a relationship beyond friendship.
The duo previously shared screen space in the popular television drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a connection that has contributed to their camaraderie inside the reality show.
