Actor Harshvardhan Rane offered fans a glimpse of his relaxed Sunday, sharing a picture of himself tending to a potted plant and reflecting on his love for watching things grow.
The ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ actor took to Instagram to share moments from his day. In the photograph, Rane can be seen holding a potted plant and smiling at the camera, while subsequent pictures show a budding flower on the plant.
“My fav thing is to put effort and watch things grow,” Rane wrote in the caption, along with hashtags referring to his Sunday break and Daya Nayak.
Rane frequently gives followers glimpses of both his personal life and professional projects through social media.
A few days ago, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes video from his first trial look test for filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming project ‘Police Company’.
In the video, Rane was seen shaving his beard as part of his transformation for the character inspired by former Mumbai police officer Daya Nayak. He said the appearance was still at an early stage and that Varma would add more permanent details as the character’s look developed.
“This was my 1st trial look test for stepping into #DAYANAYAK sir’s world. @rgvzoomin Sir will now add more permanent details and build the look slowly,” Rane wrote.
Varma is directing ‘Police Company’, with Rane portraying a character inspired by Nayak. The film is set against the backdrop of a turbulent period in Mumbai’s underworld history, when Nayak’s police squad was involved in encounters with gangsters amid the rivalry between Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Rajan.
Produced by T-Series, the film will explore the rise of the special police squad. Varma has said the project is inspired by the squad that operated between 1997 and 2004 and was involved in encounters with more than 300 gangsters.
