Renowned agriculture consultant and Global Farmer Network member Dr Malwinder Singh Malhi has been invited to attend ‘Party in the Pasture 2026’ in Iowa, USA, marking an international recognition of his nearly four decades of experience in agriculture.
The international gathering will bring together farmers, agricultural professionals, industry leaders and experts for visits to leading agricultural enterprises in Iowa, knowledge exchange and discussions aimed at strengthening global connections within the farming community.
Dr Malhi’s participation is being seen as a significant recognition for Ludhiana, Punjab and Indian agriculture. His presence at the event will provide an opportunity to highlight Punjab’s farming experience and contribute to strengthening agricultural collaboration between India and the United States.
Senior academic leaders of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) have also congratulated Dr Malhi on the international engagement. Those extending their wishes include Dr Manjit Singh, Dean, College of Engineering and In-charge, Digital School (DISA); Dr Charanjit Aulakh, Dean, College of Agriculture; and Dr T.S. Riar, Director of Communication.
Dr Malhi said the visit would provide an important platform for farmer-to-farmer learning, sharing agricultural innovations and developing stronger international partnerships.
The invitation also underscores the growing recognition of Punjab’s agricultural knowledge and the contribution of its farmers and agricultural professionals to the wider global farming community.
