Filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh’s upcoming drama Jai Hind, Jai Sindh: A Love Story will be released in four languages — Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu — with the makers aiming to connect the film with audiences across India.
Lankesh said the multilingual release was a natural decision as the film’s emotions and message go beyond linguistic boundaries.
“Jai Hind Jai Sindh is a story that goes beyond language. Its emotions and message are universal, and we wanted audiences across the country to experience it in their own language,” the director said.
Producer Sammy Nanwani said the team’s vision from the beginning was to create a film that could resonate with viewers across different regions.
“A multilingual release allows us to take that vision to a much wider audience,” Nanwani said.
The film features an ensemble cast including Mahesh Manjrekar, Jaya Prada, Zarina Wahab, Vikram Kochhar, Upasana Singh, Rahul Dev, Chhaya Kadam, Indira Tiwari, Amit Behl, Pooja Katyal and Ankiit Arora.
Jai Hind, Jai Sindh: A Love Story is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas in October 2026. Nanwani said October was chosen as the release month as it has traditionally witnessed major cinematic releases.
Earlier, actor Amit Behl described the film as a story reflecting the journey of every Indian. He said the film traces a journey from Sindh to different parts of India, bringing together characters connected by a shared experience.
The makers said the film is intended to reach audiences across regions through its multilingual presentation and nationwide theatrical release.
