The Misl Satluj party has launched a signature campaign seeking public support for the release of the Bandi Singhs. A dedicated signature petition camp has been set up at the birthplace of revered saint Baba Ishar Singh Ji in Village Alowal on Bhadsone Road, Patiala, and will continue till August 5.
Amarinder Singh Tur, national convenor of the Pura Punjab Lehar, said the campaign aims to strengthen public participation in support of justice, human rights and constitutional values. He said the signature drive is intended to highlight the demand for the release of Bandi Singhs through a peaceful and democratic process.
During the campaign, senior office-bearers of the Misl Satluj party interacted with devotees and members of the public, urging them to participate in the signature petition. Several people joined the initiative and signed the petition expressing support for the cause.
Misl Satluj’s Patiala Rural Assembly constituency candidate Manjit Singh Chahal also participated in the campaign along with his supporters. Addressing the gathering, Chahal said the issue of Bandi Singhs is linked with long-standing sentiments within the Sikh community.
He said the signature campaign would continue as a democratic effort to ensure that public opinion reaches the concerned platforms and strengthens the demand for the release of Bandi Singhs.
