Google has announced the 2026 cohort of its Play Accelerator India programme, selecting 20 Indian startups that are using artificial intelligence (AI) across sectors including education, healthcare, gaming, agriculture, finance, e-commerce, productivity, lifestyle and entertainment.
The three-month, equity-free programme will provide selected startups with support in AI integration, app quality improvement, security, user growth and monetisation strategies.
Google said the initiative combines Google Play’s product expertise with the wider Google technology ecosystem to help Indian app developers create secure, scalable and globally competitive products.
