Playback singer Sukhwinder Singh has said that his song ‘Dilwaale Dilsaaz Parinde’ from the upcoming streaming series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ reflects the courage, commitment and spirit of Indian Air Force pilots who overcame fear in the line of duty.
The song has been composed and arranged by Amit Trivedi, while the lyrics and rap have been written and performed by Geet Sagar. Built around the imagery of birds taking flight, the track portrays the determination and emotional journey of pilots who carried a strong sense of duty, brotherhood and devotion to the nation.
Speaking about the song, Sukhwinder Singh said it was a special experience to lend his voice to a story centred around war, bravery and human emotions.
He said the song captures the spirit of IAF pilots who chose to rise above fear and take on challenges for a larger purpose. He also praised Amit Trivedi’s composition and Geet Sagar’s lyrics and rap for bringing emotional depth and contemporary energy to the track.
Sukhwinder Singh said the song is a tribute to the “Golden Arrows” and expressed hope that listeners connect with the courage and sacrifice represented through their story.
Released under the label of T-Series, ‘Dilwaale Dilsaaz Parinde’ is part of the series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’, which is based on the Indian Air Force’s operation during the 1999 Kargil War.
The operation involved air support to Indian Army forces to push back Pakistani troops and irregular fighters from occupied positions in the Kargil sector along the Line of Control. It marked the first major use of air power in Jammu and Kashmir after the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
‘Operation Safed Sagar’ will premiere on Netflix on August 7.
