Punjab Jails and NRI Affairs Minister Dr Ravjot Singh on Friday handed over appointment letters to 28 newly selected Anganwari Workers and 48 Anganwari Helpers of the Sham Churasi Assembly constituency under the Punjab Government’s Mission Rozgaar initiative.
Congratulating the newly appointed workers and helpers, Dr Ravjot Singh said the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, was committed to providing government employment through a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
He said Anganwari Centres play a crucial role in the state’s child welfare system by providing services related to child nutrition, health care, pre-school education and early childhood development.
Dr Ravjot Singh expressed confidence that the newly appointed Anganwari Workers and Helpers would strengthen the delivery of welfare services at the grassroots level and help ensure that government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries effectively.
Highlighting the state government’s employment initiatives, the minister said Punjab has provided 68,228 government jobs so far through a transparent recruitment process. He said recruitment drives have been conducted across various departments since the government took charge, with the aim of creating employment opportunities for youth.
He added that the government’s priority remains the welfare of all sections of society through effective implementation of public welfare schemes.
