Congress Leader Udit Raj Alleges Possible RSS-BJP Links to Pakistan-Backed Espionage Network

New Delhi, August 28, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Congress leader Udit Raj on Friday alleged that the Pakistan-backed espionage network recently busted by the Delhi Police Special Cell could have links with the BJP and the RSS, while asserting that the entire record of such cases should be made public.

Delhi Police had arrested a young couple, identified as Mohammad Sahil and his wife Sameera, in connection with the alleged espionage network. According to the police investigation, the couple had been in contact with Pakistani intelligence officers since 2024 and became associated with the network through social media platforms.

Speaking to IANS, Raj said it was “very likely” that the arrested accused could have links to the RSS-BJP, citing what he described as previous espionage cases in Madhya Pradesh and other parts of the country.

The Congress leader also criticised the RSS, alleging that the organisation’s claims of patriotism were contradicted by its historical conduct and accusing its workers of being primarily concerned with political power.

Raj further claimed that a majority of those arrested in espionage cases over the past decade had been Hindus and said the identities and details of all such accused should be examined before drawing conclusions from the latest arrests. He acknowledged that the two people arrested in the present case could be Muslims but maintained that, according to his claim, most accused in such cases had been Hindus.

His remarks were allegations and were not accompanied in the report by evidence establishing any RSS or BJP connection to the arrested couple.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police Special Cell’s Northern Range had received information about a Pakistan-backed espionage network allegedly operating in the Delhi-NCR region.

During the investigation, police reportedly uncovered a network involved in obtaining Indian SIM cards and sending them to Pakistan, where they were allegedly used to access sensitive information.

Raj also said that action should be taken against anyone found working against India’s interests, irrespective of their identity or affiliation.
