The number of Indian companies registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber rose to 85,841 by the end of June 2026, with 7,579 new Indian firms joining during the first half of the year, Dubai Chambers President Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah said.
The latest figures highlight the deepening economic relationship between India and Dubai, with bilateral trade and investment continuing to expand across multiple sectors.
According to Lootah, Dubai’s non-oil trade with India reached a record $60.6 billion in 2025, representing a 15 per cent year-on-year increase. Bilateral trade has grown 136.2 per cent over the past decade, from $25.6 billion in 2016, making India Dubai’s second-largest trading partner.
Lootah said Dubai attracted nearly $8.8 billion in Indian investments between 2016 and 2025, including $2.3 billion in foreign direct investment during 2025 alone.
Investment has also moved in the opposite direction. Indian companies invested $9.3 billion across 147 projects in India during the 2016-2025 period, contributing to the creation of 55,274 jobs.
“Indian business community’s strong confidence in Dubai and its future growth prospects” was reflected in the rising number of companies establishing operations there, Lootah said.
He added that Dubai’s infrastructure, global connectivity and business environment provide Indian companies access to markets across the Middle East, Africa and other regions.
Economic cooperation is also expanding into emerging areas such as Agentic AI and the digital economy, he said.
Lootah said the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) had helped reduce trade barriers, improve market access and create broader growth opportunities for businesses in both countries.
He said trade remained a key pillar of Dubai-India relations, with business ties continuing to evolve in response to the changing requirements of companies in both markets.
