The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 17 IAS officers in a major late-night administrative reshuffle, changing the responsibilities of several senior bureaucrats across key divisions and departments.
The changes include appointments at the level of divisional commissioners, the Revenue Council, development departments and the state secretariat.
Sangeeta Singh, who was serving as Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh, has been transferred to Moradabad in the same capacity. She replaces IAS officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh, whose deputation ended on August 14. Anjaneya Kumar Singh has been repatriated to his parent cadre in Sikkim following the completion of his deputation.
Om Prakash Arya, Member (Judicial) at the Revenue Council in Prayagraj, has been appointed Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh.
In another major change, Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, Commissioner and Secretary of the Rural Development Department, has been appointed Director General, Ayush, and Mission Director, National Ayush Mission, Uttar Pradesh.
Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, will take charge as Commissioner, Rural Development.
Ravindra Kumar has been posted as Secretary, Urban Development Department. He has been relieved of the additional charge of Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), and State Mission Director, AMRUT.
Dr Raj Shekhar, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural), has been appointed Secretary, Planning Department, and Director General, Economics and Statistics. Yogesh Kumar, Commissioner and Registrar, Cooperation, will take over as MD of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural).
Among other changes, Devendra Kumar Pandey has been posted as Special Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department, from the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch. Vivek Srivastava, Secretary, Lucknow Development Authority, has been appointed Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department.
Amrit Tripathi, Secretary, Higher Education Department, has been appointed Member (Judicial), Revenue Council, Prayagraj. Om Prakash Rai, serving as Member (Judicial), Revenue Council, Prayagraj, has been posted as Special Secretary, Higher Education Department.
The reshuffle brings several changes to the state’s senior administrative structure, with officers being assigned key field and departmental responsibilities.
