Hrithik Roshan’s sister Sunaina Roshan marked Raksha Bandhan by sharing a series of unseen photographs from the Bollywood superstar’s childhood and teenage years, along with an emotional tribute to their enduring bond.
Sunaina posted a video montage featuring memories from different stages of Hrithik’s life, including photographs of the siblings together during their childhood, a picture of Hrithik as a teenager and a recent image of the brother-sister duo.
Reflecting on their relationship, Sunaina said that despite the changes life brings, some relationships continue to provide a sense of home and security.
She thanked Hrithik for standing by her through happy and difficult phases of life, particularly during some of her toughest moments.
“Thank you for being there through some of the toughest times in my life, for showing up when I needed you the most and for always making me feel like I never have to face anything alone,” she wrote.
Sunaina added that she considers herself lucky to have Hrithik as her brother and said their bond remains “UNBREAKABLE” through every high and low.
“Lucky to call you my brother and even luckier to know that you’ll always have my back. Through every phase, every high and every low, this is one bond that will always be UNBREAKABLE. Happy Raksha Bandhan, Duggu. Love you always,” she wrote, tagging Hrithik.
The post also drew warm reactions from the Roshan family. Their father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan wished them on Raksha Bandhan, while their mother Pinkie Roshan prayed that their bond would grow stronger and be filled with happiness.
Sunaina’s tribute also comes months after she spoke about Hrithik’s support during a serious health crisis. In June, she recalled that the actor had spent an entire night praying at a temple for her recovery after she fell critically ill in 2001 following a crash diet.
According to Sunaina, she had been hospitalised in critical condition, with doctors warning the family about possible paralysis, loss of eyesight or even a coma. She said Hrithik stayed at a temple through the night and prayed for her to recover.
