Hollywood star Sandra Bullock has given her Practical Magic 2 co-star Maisie Williams a playful invitation to raid her wardrobe after the actress recreated several of Bullock’s iconic looks from the 1990s and early 2000s during the promotions of their upcoming film.
Bullock, 62, shared side-by-side pictures of Williams’ recreations along with a video of herself cheering on the 29-year-old actress during their promotional appearances.
“My Antonia girl, you can raid Mama’s closet anytime. @dinobonacic you did a beautiful job bringing all of these looks back to life,” Bullock wrote on Instagram.
Among the recreated looks was a black off-the-shoulder dress originally worn by Bullock at the 2006 premiere of Infamous. Williams had also earlier appeared in a custom burgundy dress inspired by the two-piece ensemble Bullock wore to the 1999 premiere of Forces of Nature.
The Game of Thrones actress also drew inspiration from the lace-trimmed dress Bullock wore in the original Practical Magic, opting for a similar black design.
Practical Magic 2 is a romantic fantasy film directed by Susanne Bier and based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel The Book of Magic. It serves as a sequel to the 1998 film Practical Magic.
Bullock and Nicole Kidman are returning as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, alongside Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing. The new cast includes Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod.
The original film followed sisters Sally and Gillian, descendants of a long line of witches who were raised by their aunts after their parents died because of a family curse. As adults, they are forced to use their magical abilities to confront the evil spirit of Gillian’s abusive boyfriend.
