Chandigarh, August 29, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

BJP Punjab State In-charge and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Satish Poonia will undertake a three-day organisational tour of Punjab from August 31 to September 2, during which he will hold a series of meetings with the state leadership and various organisational teams.

BJP Punjab State General Secretary Anil Sarin announced the programme on Saturday, saying the visit would focus on reviewing party activities and strengthening the organisational structure across the state.

Poonia’s tour will begin in Chandigarh on August 31. He will address a press conference at the BJP Punjab office in Sector 37-A and subsequently meet the state Social Media Team, IT Team and Media Team. A meeting of the State Core Committee is also scheduled.

On September 1, Poonia will travel to Jalandhar to participate in a workshop on the PM Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. He will also interact with state office-bearers, district in-charges and co-in-charges, besides the state general secretaries.

On September 2, the BJP Punjab in-charge will hold informal organisational meetings in Jalandhar before proceeding to Amritsar. His programme there includes a visit to the BJP office, followed by darshan at Durgiana Mandir and Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Sarin said the three-day tour would provide Punjab BJP leaders and organisational teams an opportunity to receive guidance from Poonia and work towards further strengthening the party structure at different levels.

He said the Punjab BJP remained committed to building a strong, disciplined and vibrant organisation focused on raising issues concerning Punjab and serving the people of the state.
