Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday appointed senior party leader and Hoshiarpur Assembly constituency in-charge Sanjeev Talwar as the new president of the Hoshiarpur district Akali Jatha (Urban).
The appointment was announced by the SAD president as part of the party’s organisational exercise in the district.
Talwar has been serving as the party’s in-charge for the Hoshiarpur Assembly constituency and is a senior SAD leader.
The party said the appointment was made by Sukhbir Singh Badal through an important organisational announcement.
