Actor Akanksha Chamola has said she fears the disclosure of her “third secret” on the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa could lead to severe public backlash against both her and her husband, actor Gaurav Khanna.
During a conversation with fellow contestant and friend Pamala Serena on the show, Akanksha expressed concern that her rival, Shreya Kalra, might reveal the secret after previously exposing her second secret—that she is bisexual.
Referring to Shreya’s changing stance towards her, Akanksha said she found her behaviour contradictory and insensitive. She recalled that Shreya had earlier claimed they had become friends on the show but later denied the friendship.
Speaking about the possible consequences of her third secret becoming public, Akanksha said she and her husband would face intense scrutiny because of their public profiles. She added that while people might eventually forget who revealed the information, they would continue to associate it with her and Gaurav Khanna.
Akanksha also said she was worried about her family’s reaction, admitting they would question why such an important matter had been kept from them. She remarked that they would be upset if they learned about it through the show instead of from her.
Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, streaming on Netflix, features contestants including Shilpa Shinde, Akanksha Chaudhary, Ram Kapoor, Shreya Kalra, Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopra, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Varun Yadav, popularly known as Laila.
The current season is hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. The inaugural edition of Lock Upp, hosted by Kangana Ranaut in 2022 with Karan Kundrra as Jailor, was won by Munawar Faruqui.
