Actress Rakul Preet Singh has returned to her fitness routine after recovering from an injury, sharing that the experience gave her valuable lessons about patience, resilience and appreciating the healing process.
The actress took to Instagram on Monday to share pictures from her gym session and reflected on the challenges she faced while being away from training. She said the injury forced her to slow down and understand that recovery cannot be rushed.
Rakul shared that the gym had been more than just a place for physical training for her. It had also been a space where she built discipline, cleared her mind and maintained consistency.
“Every journey has a chapter that no one plans for. Mine came in the form of an injury,” she wrote, recalling how she went from focusing on becoming stronger every day to being forced to take a break.
The actress said the most difficult part was not only dealing with physical pain but also adjusting to stepping away from an activity that had become an important part of her life.
She added that the recovery period brought moments of frustration and uncertainty, but gradually helped her understand that healing follows its own timeline.
According to Rakul, the experience taught her lessons that no workout could provide. She said it helped her value movements she had once taken for granted and showed her that strength is not always about pushing harder, but also about knowing when to rest.
She said her focus shifted from achieving bigger fitness goals to simply becoming healthy again, with every small improvement becoming a milestone.
Rakul noted that returning to the gym after nearly a year and a half felt like coming back home, but added that she was no longer the same person who had stepped away. She said she is now approaching fitness with a stronger mindset and a renewed appreciation for the opportunity to train again.
The actress said her comeback is not about recreating the person she was before the injury, but about beginning a new chapter with the lessons gained during recovery.
