The trailer of the much-awaited “Playground Season 5” has been released, promising an intense reality gaming competition featuring mentors Elvish Yadav, Tejasswi Prakash and Aarush Bhola.
The new season will focus on survival, adaptability and strategic gameplay, with mentors taking on new challenges in a high-pressure gaming environment where decisions and teamwork will determine success.
The trailer opens with the mentors engaged in their individual worlds before an unexpected reality glitch transports them into a virtual gaming arena. They soon discover that they are not just guiding contestants but are themselves part of a competitive battle where they must fight for supremacy.
Elvish Yadav, who returns as a two-time champion mentor, said every new season brings tougher competition and fresh challenges. He added that defending his title motivates him to push harder and aim for a historic third win.
“This time everyone will be coming after the defending champion, and I’m ready for it,” Elvish said, adding that he is returning with the same determination and competitive spirit.
Tejasswi Prakash, who joins the mentor panel for the first time, said the experience of entering a gaming reality show is exciting because the format requires constant adaptation and quick decision-making.
She said competing alongside experienced mentors will allow her to explore a new side of herself while taking on the challenges of the game.
Aarush Bhola said his focus would be on building a strong team and supporting emerging talent from the gaming and creator community. He added that while there would be a learning curve as a first-time mentor, fresh ideas could bring a new dimension to the competition.
The fifth season of “Playground” is scheduled to premiere on August 1, 2026.
