APSCC Draws Parallels Between Pahalgam and Chhattisinghpora Massacres, Seeks Stern Action

Srinagar, April 23, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

Drawing a linkage between the massacres of Baisaran-Pahalgam and Chattisinghpora-Anantnag the All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) in the same breath a Kashmiri cannot even think of such a heinous act and not to talk of carrying out the same.

APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina in a statement has said that agencies should carry out a thorough probe in the Baisaran-Pahalgam incident so that the perpetrators are booked under law followed by stern action. He said the probe should be time bound and there is no laxity in this regard.

“There are some similarities between the two massacres. At the time of Chattisinghpora genocide then US President Bill Clinton was on a visit to India. This time around the incumbent Vice President of US J D Vance is on a visit to this country,” said Raina.

The APSCC Chairman said in both the massacres the males were segregated from the females and then they were fired upon. He termed both the incidents as genocides and said both point out to target killings.

“A common Kashmiri can never think of causing harm to any individual and the hospitality of the people of this place is known across the globe. In such a scenario how can a Kashmiri think of carrying out such a dastardly act,” said Raina.

The APSCC Chairman said that onus lies on the investigating agencies to take the probe to its logical conclusion so that the culprits are brought to the book and then action is taken against them. He said probe agencies should carry out the investigation process in a time bound manner.

Raina said that since Jammu & Kashmir is strategically located and has come up as round the year tourist destination, there are many countries including some in neighbourhood that have an evil eye towards the Paradise on Earth.

He said people at helm of affairs in these countries don’t peace, progress and prosperity in Kashmir and are very happy with the disturbances.
