An old interview featuring Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has resurfaced online, bringing renewed attention to her recollection of US President Donald Trump’s public comments following the highly publicised breakup of actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Lawrence made the remarks during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, where she spoke about her friendship with Pattinson and the similarities in their careers. Both actors rose to international fame through blockbuster film franchises—Pattinson with the Twilight series and Lawrence with The Hunger Games.
During the interview, host Graham Norton asked whether their shared experience of achieving early global stardom had created a bond between them.
Responding, Lawrence recalled the intense public scrutiny surrounding Pattinson’s split from Stewart in 2013. She said the breakup became a major topic of discussion, attracting reactions from several quarters, including then-businessman Donald Trump.
According to Lawrence, Trump publicly urged Pattinson not to reconcile with Stewart shortly after photographs related to the couple’s relationship surfaced.
Recalling the episode, Lawrence said, “It was like three days after the photos came out… Young people make mistakes. And Donald Trump was like, ‘He better leave her! You can do better than her!’ It was a huge rant.”
Pattinson and Stewart, who starred together in the Twilight franchise, were in a relationship for nearly five years before parting ways in 2013. Their breakup attracted widespread media attention and sparked extensive public discussion at the time.
The resurfaced interview clip has once again drawn attention on social media, reviving interest in the celebrity episode and Trump’s comments from that period.
