Veteran actress Nafisa Ali has shared a heartfelt message celebrating Generation Z, praising the younger generation for embracing honesty, emotional openness and a commitment to building a more compassionate society.
In an Instagram post, Nafisa described her message as “A Letter to Gen Z, from a Millennial Mom”, applauding young people for encouraging authenticity and breaking the stigma around expressing emotions.
“They called you fragile, dramatic, too much. But you turned honesty into a lifestyle. You said out loud what we were taught to bury. You made feelings something to talk about, not hide,” she wrote.
Reflecting on the contrast between generations, Nafisa added that while millennials often spent years learning how to “perform”, Gen Z had taught them “how to just be real.”
“Not because life gave you less to carry, but because you decided not to carry it in silence. Thank you for making it okay to just be human. Thank you for trying to make this world better for the next generation,” the actress wrote.
Sharing the post, Nafisa captioned it: “Blessings and admirations to the Youth of India for standing tall making your mark for a better India.” She also tagged the Instagram handle @cockroachjantaparty.
On the professional front, Nafisa Ali has returned to the screen with Max, Min, and Meowzaki, which released in theatres on Friday. The film marks her comeback to acting after undergoing treatment for a recurrence of peritoneal and ovarian cancer.
Earlier, the actress had revealed that she attended the film’s trailer launch soon after completing chemotherapy, despite undergoing bone immunity injections and recovering from a stomach infection, describing the experience as emotionally uplifting.
