More than 4,000 new students took part in the two-day orientation programme ‘IGNITE 2026’ at Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, as the institution welcomed its fresh batch with a mix of interactive activities, cultural performances and student engagement.
The campus was filled with enthusiasm as the new students participated in ice-breaking sessions, interactive games, music and cultural programmes designed to help them familiarise themselves with the university environment and connect with their peers.
The orientation programme focused on creating an engaging start to the students’ higher education journey while encouraging interaction, collaboration and participation. Freshers actively joined the activities and performances, bringing a festive atmosphere to the campus.
Welcoming the new students, Vice Chancellor Dr Chander Mohan said the presence of thousands of young students marked an encouraging beginning to the new academic journey.
“It is immensely heartening to see thousands of energetic young minds stepping into our university today. IGNITE 2026 is designed to help students transition seamlessly into professional higher education while uncovering their true potential,” he said.
Dr Chander Mohan added that the university was committed to creating an educational environment centred on innovation, character-building and practical skill development.
“Our university remains dedicated to providing a transformative ecosystem focused on innovation, character-building, and practical skill development to prepare these students for global challenges,” he said.
The orientation programme provided the incoming students an opportunity to interact with one another and begin building connections as they embarked on their academic journey at the university.
