Actor Kangana Ranaut has responded to Hrithik Roshan’s reaction to a social media trend involving his name, asking him not to add to the online criticism directed at her and instead oppose those using his name to target her.
The exchange followed the emergence of the “we need to apologise to Hrithik Roshan” trend on social media after backlash against Kangana over her remarks on Gen Z.
In a social media post, Kangana said Hrithik’s comments were inappropriate given that he is in a relationship with actor Saba Azad. She urged him to speak against those who were allegedly harassing her by referring to his past dispute with her.
“Dear Hrithik, I am happy that you have found your perfect match, Saba Azad, and you both look great together. You are in a committed relationship, and it doesn’t suit you to tease a woman like this,” Kangana wrote.
She added that Hrithik should condemn people who were using his name to target her and said he should avoid escalating the situation.
The controversy began after Hrithik commented on a post by social media user Freddy Birdy, urging people not to form opinions without considering the full context.
Earlier, CJP’s Saurav Das had posted that Kangana was criticising him because he resembled a younger version of Hrithik Roshan. The remark triggered discussions online and revived references to the widely reported 2016 legal dispute between Kangana and Hrithik.
Responding to Freddy Birdy’s post, Hrithik wrote that supporting one person simply because of dislike for another was part of a broader social issue and said he would wait for discussions based on facts and proper context.
Hrithik’s comment subsequently became a talking point online, leading to renewed debate around his past controversy with Kangana.
The two actors had previously worked together in the 2010 film Kites and later appeared in Krrish 3.
