Actress Neha Dhupia revealed that Karishma Tanna and her husband Varun Bangera headed to the hospital immediately after completing the shoot of her podcast “Double Date” as they were set to welcome their first child.
Neha shared a behind-the-scenes video from the podcast shoot on social media, showing the moments after the recording wrapped up. The clip began with the message, “When the baby says ‘it’s go time’,” and featured a pregnant Karishma leaving for the hospital with Neha, her husband Angad Bedi and Varun Bangera accompanying her with the hospital bag and essentials.
Sharing the video, Neha wrote that the incident was a true story and that the couple left for the hospital as soon as they finished their appearance on the show.
The podcast episode featuring Karishma and Varun was recorded on July 28 and released shortly before the couple became parents. During the conversation, the couple spoke about their relationship, pregnancy journey and their excitement about welcoming their first child.
On July 29, Karishma and Varun announced the birth of their son through a joint social media post. They shared a black-and-white illustration while revealing that their baby boy was born on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
Karishma and Varun tied the knot in February 2022 in an intimate ceremony attended by family members and close friends. The couple had announced their pregnancy in April this year.
Karishma Tanna began her career in television and gained popularity with shows such as “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”, “Naagin 3” and reality programmes including “Bigg Boss” and “Khatron Ke Khiladi”. She has also appeared in films like “Sanju” and received critical acclaim for her role in Hansal Mehta’s Netflix series “Scoop”.
