The Punjab Government has promoted Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tajinderpal Singh to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
According to orders issued by the Punjab Home Department on Friday, Tajinderpal Singh has been elevated as SP Vigilance, marking another milestone in his policing career spanning several key assignments within the Vigilance Bureau.
Sharing his reaction, SP Tajinderpal Singh said he has been serving in the Punjab Vigilance Bureau since December 25, 2016, when he joined as a DSP. Over the years, he has held several important assignments across the state.
His postings include DSP Vigilance, Gurdaspur (2016–2018), DSP Vigilance, Amritsar (2018–2020), DSP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Flying Squad at Punjab Vigilance Bhawan (2021–2025), and DSP Vigilance, Rupnagar, where he has been serving since November 10, 2025, until his promotion.
Academically, SP Tajinderpal Singh holds an impressive record with three Master’s degrees (Triple M.A.) along with an MBA.
Expressing gratitude on his promotion, he said he would discharge his new responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and determination while further strengthening the Vigilance Bureau’s efforts against corruption in Punjab.
