CJP Alleges Rajasthan Police Harassing NEET Protesters, Warns of Fresh Agitation

Jaipur, July 28, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has accused the Rajasthan Police of continuing to harass students who participated in protests over the alleged NEET paper leak, despite an understanding to withdraw cases against demonstrators. The organisation warned on Tuesday that it would resume its agitation if the alleged police action does not stop.

In a video statement, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka alleged that members of the party’s core team in Rajasthan were being targeted by the police.

He claimed that police personnel were repeatedly visiting the homes of several core team members and contacting them over the phone. Ranka also urged the Central Government to make public the written agreement that was reportedly reached regarding the withdrawal of cases against student protesters.

Calling on both the Centre and the Rajasthan government to honour the agreement reached on July 25, Ranka alleged that similar commitments had already been implemented in other states.

According to him, the Bihar government has withdrawn all cases registered against students, while FIRs against protesters have also been withdrawn in West Bengal. He urged the governments to stop targeting students and implement the agreed decision in Rajasthan as well.

The CJP warned that if police continue visiting students’ homes or summoning them despite the reported agreement, the organisation would be compelled to restart its nationwide protest campaign.

The NEET paper leak protests drew participation from students across Rajasthan and other parts of the country. Many students travelled to Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to join demonstrations, while protests and sit-ins were also held in Jaipur and other cities.

In Jaipur, CJP supporters staged demonstrations at Jawahar Circle for several days during the agitation.

The Rajasthan Police had not issued any official response to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
