Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended birthday greetings to Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan, praising his role in advancing the NDA government’s good governance agenda in the state.
Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi said Pawan Kalyan is “widely respected among the people” and is at the forefront of giving momentum to the NDA’s governance initiatives in Andhra Pradesh.
“Birthday greetings to Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu. He is widely respected among the people and is at the forefront of adding momentum to the good governance agenda of the NDA in Andhra Pradesh. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life in service of society,” the Prime Minister said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his birthday wishes, commending Kalyan’s efforts towards implementing the NDA’s vision for the development of Andhra Pradesh and the welfare of its people.
“Your dedicated endeavours towards realising the NDA’s vision for the development of the state and welfare of the people are commendable,” Shah said, while wishing him good health for continued public service.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also extended heartfelt greetings to Kalyan, recalling his popularity as the “Power Star” and praising his work as Deputy Chief Minister.
Naidu highlighted initiatives undertaken through the Panchayati Raj department, including reforms and development programmes. He also cited road construction, promotion of greenery and measures aimed at easing difficulties faced by tribal communities as areas where Kalyan’s efforts were producing results.
The Chief Minister expressed the hope that Kalyan would celebrate many more birthdays in good health and continue working towards fulfilling the alliance’s commitments on the reconstruction and development of Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan Kalyan, born on September 2, 1971, is an actor-turned-politician and currently serves as Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister. He founded the Jana Sena Party on March 14, 2014, and assumed office as Deputy Chief Minister following the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.
