Mumbai, September 2, 2026 (Yes Punjab News) Actor Akshay Oberoi, who was recently seen in Yash-starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, has bought a farmhouse in Karjat, describing the nature-surrounded property as his personal sanctuary away from the bustle of Mumbai.
The farmhouse, which was under construction for around 1.5 years, has been designed as a holiday home reflecting Akshay’s personal taste. Although landscaping work is still in progress, the actor said the property has already become a special retreat for him and his family.
“This farmhouse is more than just a property; it’s my sanctuary. A place where I can disconnect from the chaos of Mumbai and reconnect with myself and my family,” Akshay said in a statement.
He added that living amid nature had always been a dream and that the peaceful surroundings offered him an ideal escape from his demanding schedule.
“Spending quality time with my wife and son here is truly priceless. It’s where I can relax, rejuvenate, and simply enjoy the little moments of life,” he said.
Akshay recently spent Christmas and New Year at the farmhouse with close friends and family, calling it the beginning of a new chapter at the retreat.
“I feel incredibly blessed. This farmhouse wouldn’t have been possible without the fruitful projects I’ve been a part of recently. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much I have to be thankful for,” he said.
On the work front, Akshay was part of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, which stars Yash in a dual role alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
The gangster drama follows Raya, a violent gangster and playboy who rises to power in the underworld before eventually facing his downfall. Years later, he encounters his biological son Rumi, also known as Ticket, who seeks revenge after Raya abandoned him and his wife.
