Hollywood actress Gal Gadot has revealed that she has never received Tom Cruise’s famous Christmas cake — and, until recently, was not even aware of the actor’s much-talked-about festive tradition.
Cruise is known for sending a special coconut cake to many of his friends and co-stars during the holiday season. Several actors who have received the annual gift have publicly praised the treat over the years.
However, Gadot, who appeared alongside Cruise in the 2010 film ‘Knight and Day’, said she had never heard about the tradition.
During an appearance on the ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, host Dax Shepard asked Gadot whether she had ever received a cake from Cruise. When she shook her head, Shepard jokingly remarked that perhaps they should not have brought it up.
Gadot then asked, “What cake? He makes cakes?”
Shepard explained that Cruise sends the same cake to a large number of people he has worked with. Co-host Monica Padman clarified that it was not literally everyone, prompting laughter during the conversation.
Gadot appeared unfazed by missing out on the tradition and said she had only worked with Cruise for one night, adding that it was perfectly fine.
Shepard and Padman, however, jokingly appealed to Cruise to add Gadot to his Christmas cake list.
“Tom, let’s get Gal the cake!” Shepard said, while Padman added, “Gal needs a cake. I need a cake.”
Gadot then insisted she did not actually want the cake, saying she did not like cakes and preferred chocolate.
Shepard revealed that he had never personally received one either, although he had tasted the cake after a friend received it the previous year.
He described the tradition as a fun Hollywood phenomenon, where people often try to know someone who receives the cake so they can sample it themselves.
Cruise’s Christmas cake has become a much-discussed Hollywood tradition, with several of his co-stars and friends praising the sweet treat over the years.
