Actress Jannat Zubair has reacted to speculation about her alleged link-up with Elvish Yadav, saying that while fans’ support is appreciated, taking their on-screen chemistry beyond friendship is “a little too much”.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Jannat said audiences often create hashtags and start linking actors when they enjoy their bond on screen. However, she maintained that their relationship remains completely professional while working together.
“I can’t say anything about it. I mean, it’s something that’s been going on for years. If they see someone and they like their bond, their friendship, they often become a hashtag. Often people start linking them. But I don’t think you should link them. Linking is something that is a little too much,” she said.
The actress added that she finds fan edits and dedicated pages created by admirers sweet, as they reflect the audience’s affection and support.
“As far as the bond is concerned, if someone likes it, then I think it’s okay to love them, to support them, to make their fan pages or address and do all of that. I think that is very sweet and we appreciate that. That is absolutely no problem. But I just think that if we keep the link-up aside, then everything else is okay and welcome,” Jannat said.
Jannat and Elvish became popular among viewers after appearing together as contestants on the cooking reality show Laughter Chefs, where their friendly equation and frequent interactions attracted attention.
The duo later featured together in several romantic music tracks, including Janvish, Tere Ishq Mein and Sun Meri Shehzadi, further fuelling fan speculation about their bond.
Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav is set to make his Bollywood debut alongside Tiger Shroff in an upcoming action entertainer directed by Remo D’Souza. The film is backed by fellow Laughter Chefs contestant Viccky Jain under his newly launched banner VJ Frames.
