Bank of India on Wednesday donated 12 water coolers to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib to enhance facilities for the thousands of devotees who visit the holy shrine every day.
The water coolers were formally handed over in the presence of Bank of India Zonal Manager Rajesh Kumar Bains, Marketing Manager Abhijeet Ranjan, Branch Manager Vikramjit Singh, Branch Officer Keshav Singh Singla, Gurmukh Singh, and other bank officials.
On behalf of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, Dharam Prachar Committee Secretary Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, and Private Secretary Shahbaaz Singh honoured the visiting bank officials with siropaos and a framed picture of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib in recognition of their contribution.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurinder Singh Mathrewal said that a large number of devotees visit Sri Harmandir Sahib every day and contribute to various sewas according to their capacity. He said the donation of 12 water coolers by Bank of India was a valuable service that would provide much-needed relief and convenience to the Sangat, particularly during the summer season.
He appreciated the bank’s gesture and expressed hope that it would continue extending its support towards the service of Guru Ghar in the future.
Bank of India Zonal Manager Rajesh Kumar Bains said the bank officials were fortunate to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and offer the water coolers as a token of gratitude. He prayed that Guru Sahib would continue to bless the bank’s employees and give them the strength to remain engaged in selfless service to humanity.
Among those present were SGPC Deputy Secretary Harbhajan Singh Vakta, Azad Deep Singh, Superintendent Nishan Singh, besides other officials of the SGPC and Bank of India.
