AAP MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa on Wednesday met Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi and thanked him for his proposed visit to Hoshiarpur on August 12 to participate in the devotional programme ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ and flag off buses under the Punjab Government’s Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme.
Following the meeting, Jimpa said the devotional event has generated an enthusiastic response among devotees across Punjab. He said Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal are expected to attend the programme as devotees.
Jimpa also welcomed the decision to flag off pilgrimage buses on the same day to Mathura-Vrindavan, Haridwar, Shri Salasar Balaji and other prominent religious destinations under the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, enabling devotees to undertake pilgrimages free of cost.
He said the pilgrimage scheme has emerged as one of the Punjab Government’s most appreciated initiatives, helping people fulfil their long-cherished desire to visit religious places without financial burden.
The Hoshiarpur MLA said the Bhagwant Mann Government has focused on improving education, healthcare, employment, women’s welfare and social security while ensuring transparent and people-centric governance.
Expressing confidence about the August 12 programme, Jimpa said the event would strengthen the connect between the people and the state government. He appealed to residents to participate in large numbers and make the devotional programme a grand success.
He also claimed that the AAP government has fulfilled its major public commitments while accelerating the state’s development.
