Rights Group Alleges Three More Civilians Forcibly Disappeared by Pakistani Forces in Balochistan

Quetta, July 27, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

A Baloch rights organisation has alleged that three more civilians were forcibly disappeared in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, claiming they were taken into custody by Pakistani security agencies in separate incidents this month.

In a statement posted on social media platform X on Monday, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) identified one of the missing individuals as 15-year-old Aziz Baloch, a rickshaw driver, who was allegedly abducted from Saryab Road in Quetta on July 23. The organisation alleged that personnel of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) were responsible for his disappearance.

The BYC also alleged that Khalil Ahmed, a 30-year-old labourer, was taken from his residence in Nigar area of Surab district on July 12. According to the organisation, personnel of Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) and the Army were involved in the incident.

Another labourer, 27-year-old Gull Muhammad, was allegedly abducted from his home in the same locality on the same day. The rights group similarly accused Frontier Corps personnel and the Pakistan Army of carrying out the alleged disappearance.

The allegations come amid continued concerns raised by Baloch rights groups over reported enforced disappearances in the province.

Last week, the Baloch Women Forum (BWF) expressed concern over what it described as a growing pattern of enforced disappearances involving civilians, including women and children, allegedly by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan.

The forum referred to an incident on July 21 in Mastung district’s Killi Kongarh area, where it alleged that security personnel raided a house and took away six members of a family. According to the BWF, those allegedly detained included 33-year-old Bibi Rafia, her three children aged three months, four years and six years, her brother Muhammad Arif, 40, and her 18-year-old niece, Bibi Nida.

In its statement, the BWF described the Mastung incident as part of a broader pattern of alleged enforced disappearances in Balochistan, saying affected families and human rights activists had repeatedly raised concerns over the issue.

The organisation further stated that prolonged disappearances have left many families waiting for years without information about their relatives and stressed that women and children are entitled to special protection under international law.

The allegations made by the BYC and the BWF could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate response from the Pakistani authorities to the claims.
