Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has fuelled speculation about a possible appearance by Shah Rukh Khan on the premiere episode of ‘Bigg Boss 20’, after the makers released the first glimpse of the upcoming season featuring a cryptic reference to their iconic film ‘Karan Arjun’.
The teaser released by the makers on Tuesday shows Salman Khan making a grand entry on a horse, followed by a mysterious message that has left fans trying to decode the clues. Referring to the popular 1995 film starring Salman and Shah Rukh, the actor says, “Jo Karan Arjun mein hua tha, woh hoga ab Bigg Boss mein… Thathastu!”
The makers announced the new season with the caption, “Ek se bhale do.. #BiggBoss Starts 6th September on #JioHotstar and @colorstv.”
Salman Khan, who has been hosting the reality show for several seasons, said the upcoming edition will bring a new level of mystery and unexpected twists. “Every season of Bigg Boss brings a fresh game, new dynamics and unexpected twists. But this season, there’s a mystery at the heart of it that makes it unlike anything we’ve seen before,” he said.
He added that the teaser was only the beginning and viewers would have to piece together the hints when ‘Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20’ begins.
Reports suggest that the makers are planning a major redesign of the Bigg Boss house this year. Omung Kumar and Vanita Garud Kumar, who previously designed the set, are reportedly not handling the project this season. Art directors Kanchan and Rupali, who earlier worked on the reality show ‘The 50’, have reportedly taken charge of the new design.
Several names are being discussed as possible contestants for the upcoming season, including Mahhi Vij, Geeta Basra, Jannat Zubair, Faisal Shaikh (Mr Faisu), Sunil Pal, Nia Sharma, Pearl V Puri and Showik Chakraborty.
‘Bigg Boss 20’ is scheduled to premiere on Colors TV and JioHotstar on September 6, 2026.
