The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday approved the implementation of the State Data Integration Platform (SDIP), a major digital governance initiative aimed at integrating databases across government departments.
The platform is designed to eliminate duplication of data, improve coordination among departments and streamline existing administrative processes.
To ensure effective implementation, the government will establish a three-tier steering committee headed by the Chief Secretary of Punjab.
The committee will include the Administrative Secretary, Good Governance, as Member-Convener along with Administrative Secretaries of various departments as members.
The State Data Integration Platform is expected to facilitate seamless sharing of information among departments, enhance governance efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
