Several world leaders and senior dignitaries arrived at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday evening for a gala dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for BRICS leaders.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus were among those who arrived at the venue.

A specially curated vegan dinner was a key feature of the evening. The plant-based menu was designed to showcase India’s culinary diversity while reflecting the principles of sustainability, inclusivity and mindful hospitality.

The dinner was complemented by a special cultural presentation titled “Navarasa — The Universe of Shared Emotions”.

The evening also featured the BRICS Symphony, “One Rhythm, Many Cultures”, bringing together musicians from BRICS member and partner countries for a collaborative performance.

Drawing on diverse musical traditions and instruments, the symphony presented a shared artistic expression highlighting the cultural richness and spirit of togetherness of the BRICS family.

The performance blended these musical elements with India’s classical dance traditions, symbolising the common bonds connecting diverse civilisations and reflecting the idea of “Building a Better World Together” through cultural exchange.
