Woman Biker Alleges Car Followed, Hit Her Motorcycle After She Asked Driver to Keep Distance

A woman biker in Gurugram has alleged that a car repeatedly followed her, attempted to come dangerously close to her motorcycle and eventually hit her before fleeing the spot, leaving her shaken and raising concerns over road safety.

The rider, who identifies herself as Sia and runs the Instagram page ‘rebelwheels_sia_’, shared footage of the incident on social media and appealed to the Gurugram Police for action.

“I have nothing to say, but today I felt unsafe on Gurugram roads. People like these aren’t afraid of hitting people and running away,” she said after the incident.

According to Sia, the incident took place on Sunday while she was riding her Aprilia RS 457 sports bike on Golf Course Road with members of her biking group. She alleged that the occupants of a car had been following the group from the beginning and behaved aggressively while repeatedly attempting to move close to her motorcycle.

Sia said she asked them to maintain a safe distance, but they allegedly told her to stop. She also claimed the men appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

She continued riding in an attempt to prevent the car from cutting her off, while a friend riding behind her tried to block the vehicle from repeatedly coming alongside her.

Sia alleged that the car eventually attempted to cut across her motorcycle’s path, resulting in a collision. The impact threw her off the bike, while her motorcycle was dragged several metres along the road. The car then allegedly fled.

The incident was recorded on an action camera mounted on her motorcycle.

Sia said one of her friends pursued the vehicle and confronted the driver when it stopped at a traffic signal. However, she alleged that the driver denied responsibility for the collision and drove away.

In her social media post, Sia shared the vehicle’s registration number and details of the registered owner as mentioned in the registration certificate, urging the Gurugram Police to investigate.

The video drew significant attention online, with users expressing support for the rider and urging the Delhi Police, Gurugram Police, Gurugram Traffic Police and Haryana Police to take action. Some called for an FIR, while others highlighted concerns over rash driving and the safety of motorists on busy Gurugram roads.
