The Madhya Pradesh Home Department on Sunday issued fresh posting orders for 10 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 127 State Police Service officers in a major reshuffle aimed at strengthening the functioning of the state police force.
According to the orders, all the new postings are temporary and will remain in effect until further directions.
Among the key changes, Manish Bhardwaj has been posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Kotwali, in Indore City. He was earlier serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Cyber Police Headquarters in Bhopal.
Alok Kumar Verma has been appointed Rewa City Superintendent of Police (CSP), moving from his previous assignment as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Dewas.
Vaibhav Priya has been posted as Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) in Nepanagar, Burhanpur district, after being transferred from Ratlam, while Shubham Singh Thakur has been appointed Gadarwara SDOP in Narsinghpur after his transfer from Jabalpur.
Manoj Kumar has been posted as ACP, MP Nagar, in Bhopal City, after serving in Gwalior.
Other transfers include Lekhraj Meena as Sailana SDOP in Ratlam from Chhatarpur, Kajal Singh as Khurai SDOP in Sagar from Ujjain, and Rajiv Agrawal as Kukshi SDOP in Dhar from Rewa.
Deepanshu has been assigned as Manawar SDOP in Dhar after his transfer from Sagar, while Amit Kumar has been posted as Singrauli SDOP following his transfer from Khandwa.
The IPS reshuffle comprises four officers from the 2023 batch and six from the 2024 batch.
In addition, 127 State Police Service officers of Deputy Superintendent of Police rank and equivalent have been assigned new responsibilities across different districts. Their new postings include positions such as DSP, SDOP, CSP, ACP and Assistant Commandant.
The officers have been directed to join their new assignments at the earliest. The reshuffle is part of the state government’s administrative exercise to ensure effective policing, strengthen law-and-order arrangements and improve the functioning of the police department across Madhya Pradesh.
