The Mahilpur sky came alive with a spectacular 500-drone show on Sunday as the Punjab Government marked the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji with a grand presentation at SGGS Khalsa College.
The synchronised drone display blended technology, spirituality and visual storytelling to portray the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. The presentation highlighted his enduring message of equality, compassion, social justice, human dignity and mutual respect, drawing a large gathering of devotees and local residents.
The audience watched the presentation with folded hands, while many devotees appreciated the initiative as an innovative way of taking the teachings of Guru Ji to the younger generation through modern technology.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Dr Ishank Kumar described the drone show as a befitting tribute to Sri Guru Ravidas Ji by the Punjab Government. He said the large participation reflected the deep reverence and devotion of the people towards Guru Ji.
Dr Ishank Kumar said such initiatives could help acquaint younger generations with the philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji in an engaging and impactful manner. He stressed the relevance of Guru Ji’s teachings in promoting a society founded on equality, brotherhood, compassion and social justice.
He said the Punjab Government was organising 92 drone shows across the state as part of the celebrations commemorating the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji.
Thanking the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for organising programmes depicting Guru Ji’s life and teachings, Dr Ishank Kumar said a series of seminars, documentary screenings, marathons and other programmes were also being held across Punjab to spread his message and ideology.
He said the state government had earmarked Rs 100 crore for programmes and initiatives dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab. Documentary shows, he added, were being organised in 13,000 villages across Punjab to take Guru Ji’s teachings to the grassroots.
Dr Ishank Kumar further said the foundation stone of the Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Bani Study Centre had recently been laid by the Punjab Government, with the project estimated to cost Rs 24.55 crore. He also said the Guru Ravidas Memorial was being established at Khuralgarh at a cost of Rs 147 crore.
During the programme, renowned Ragi Bhai Jasvir Singh Ji presented Shabad Kirtan.
