Delhi-NCR is likely to remain hot and humid on Saturday, with partly cloudy skies and hazy sunshine expected across the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of nearly 26 degrees Celsius in the national Capital.
Daytime temperatures across Delhi-NCR are expected to remain between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius, while morning and night temperatures could hover between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius. No specific rain warning has been issued for Delhi, although isolated changes in weather conditions cannot be ruled out.
Noida is likely to experience hot and humid conditions with partly cloudy to variable skies. While predominantly warm to very hot weather is expected, a brief spell of rain may occur in some areas.
Gurugram is also likely to remain hot and largely dry, with hazy sunshine during the day. The maximum temperature could reach around 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to remain close to 27 degrees Celsius.
Ghaziabad may witness mostly clear to sunny skies, with temperatures likely to touch around 35 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature could remain around 27 degrees Celsius, with no major weather warning issued for the city.
Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a heavy to torrential rainfall alert for 21 states on August 29, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Some areas could also experience strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 85 kmph.
Authorities have advised farmers, fishermen and the general public to exercise caution. Strong winds could uproot trees and disrupt road travel, while lightning and thunderstorms have been forecast in several parts of eastern India.
People travelling through forested or densely wooded areas have been advised to check the latest weather updates before beginning their journeys.
Air quality in Delhi also remained a concern, with several monitoring stations recording elevated pollution levels. Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 376, while Wazirpur registered 220. IIT Delhi recorded 184 and CRRI Mathura Road 181.
