Punjab’s cricketing passion and cultural heritage came together as Fazilka Falcons, led by Indian captain Shubman Gill, unveiled their official jersey for the inaugural Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026.
The jersey was unveiled by Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Secretary Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and Homeland Group Managing Director Umang Jindal at Homeland Regalia.
Adding a distinctive touch to the launch, the jersey has been designed by Gill himself. Drawing inspiration from Punjab’s rich heritage, traditions and cultural identity, the design seeks to capture the spirit of Fazilka while giving the team a contemporary identity on the cricket field.
The launch coincided with National Sports Day, adding significance to the occasion as the country celebrates the contribution of sportspersons and sporting activities.

Khushpreet Singh Aulakh, owner of Fazilka Falcons, said Gill’s involvement in designing the jersey had made the occasion particularly meaningful.
“Having Shubman Gill personally design the jersey makes it even more meaningful because it brings together cricket and the rich culture of Punjab. The design reflects the pride, traditions and spirit of our state, while also giving the team a strong identity of its own,” he said.
“For the people of Punjab, this jersey is not just a team kit, it represents our culture, our passion for cricket and the dreams of the young players who will be taking the field,” Aulakh added.
Fazilka Falcons will be captained by Gill and feature a combination of established players and emerging cricketers as the franchise prepares for its first campaign.
The Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026, organised by the PCA, will be held from August 30 to September 13 at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Six franchises will compete in 27 matches.
With their colours and identity now unveiled, Fazilka Falcons will look to carry the cricketing spirit and cultural pride of Punjab into the tournament.
