Zaid Darbar celebrated wife and actress Gauahar Khan’s birthday on Sunday with flowers, cake and a heartfelt message, sharing glimpses of the intimate celebration on social media.
In one of the photographs posted by Zaid, he presented Gauahar with a rose. A video showed the actress cutting her birthday cake surrounded by flowers. Gauahar, who won Bigg Boss 7, also fed cake to her husband during the celebration.
Wishing her on the occasion, Zaid wrote on Instagram, “Happy birthday, wifey! Life with you is a little crazy… but a lot of fun, and somehow I’m still the lucky one.”
Gauahar responded by thanking her husband for the birthday surprise. “What a set up !!! Good job Jaanu. Allahumma baarik,” she commented, later adding, “Wow rhyme !!!!”
Gauahar and Zaid married on December 25, 2020, in a nikah ceremony. The couple have two sons, Zehaan and Farwaan.
The actress had previously spoken about her relationship with Zaid during an appearance on the celebrity talk show Rashami Ke Dil Se Dil Tak last December.
When host and actress Rashami Desai asked whether she had a particular preference for the kind of man she wanted to marry, Gauahar said she had no specific expectations and revealed that she had become “completely averse to men” before meeting Zaid.
“I was like, ‘I don’t want to meet men, they are all commitment phobic. They all want to run away.’ I was ready to be vulnerable in a relationship, and most men were not,” she had said.
Gauahar also recalled that she had reached a point where she had left the matter of finding a partner to God. She said she prayed for a good man and, about a month later, met Zaid, who was the first to message her.
