The National Testing Agency (NTA) has suspended the empanelment of Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and issued the firm a show-cause notice over lapses during the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) at an examination centre in Jaipur, where a power failure prevented 49 candidates from completing the test.
The NTA said on Saturday that the empanelment of the firm, which was responsible for conducting the examination, would remain suspended pending resolution of the notice.
“NTA has issued a show-cause notice to M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for lapses in the conduct of the AIAPGET examination at a centre in Jaipur. Pending resolution of the notice, the empanelment of M/s Eduquity with NTA stands suspended with immediate effect,” the agency said in a post on X.
The AIAPGET was conducted on August 22 for 36,979 registered candidates in Shift-I across 200 centres nationwide. A total of 35,837 candidates appeared for the examination, with 35,788 completing it.
At Shri Satya Sai PG College Centre in Jaipur, 192 candidates appeared for the test. However, 49 candidates could not complete their examination because of a power failure at the centre, which the NTA attributed to Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited.
The agency has announced a re-examination for all 49 affected candidates on September 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur.
The NTA expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and said revised admit cards containing further details would be issued to the affected candidates.
The action comes days after Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi held a review meeting with the NTA on August 18 and directed officials to ensure adequate security and infrastructure for the smooth conduct of examinations.
The review followed the recent cancellation of three UGC-NET tests after errors were reported in question papers.
