Niki Walia recalls Madhuri Dixit telling her: ‘I look like her’

Mumbai, August 23, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Actress Niki Walia has revealed that Madhuri Dixit herself once told her that the two actresses looked alike, recalling a light-hearted conversation in which they compared their facial features.

Speaking to IANS, Niki said she has been compared with the Bollywood star throughout her three-decade career.

“I have been in the industry for 30 years now, and I have never had a single day in my life where someone has not told me that I look like Madhuri ji,” she said.

Niki recalled an encounter with Madhuri on a flight when the two began examining their features and comparing their similarities.

“Madhuri ji herself told me that I look like her because both of us were getting awards, and we were sitting together in a business class, and we were comparing each other’s features,” Niki said.

She recalled that Madhuri was receiving an award for ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, while she was being honoured for ‘Baat Ban Jaaye’.

“Just like kids, we were checking our eyes, our lips, our smile and we both decided that our smiles are the same. Nothing else. It feels really good,” she added.

Niki is currently in the spotlight for her role as Mandy in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’, directed by Vivek B. Agrawal. The drama stars Raghav Juyal in the lead, alongside Niharika NM, Barkha Singh, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vikalp Mehta, Vivan Bhatena, Tina Desai, Vineeth Beep Kumar, Naser Al Azzeh, Dev B. Agrawal and Sanjay Kapoor in key roles.

Talking about Mandy, Niki said the character’s personality and overall vibe are very different from her own. She described the contrast as one of the aspects that made the role both challenging and exciting.
